Ch. Rahmat Ali Hospital — An Overview

Chaudhry Rahmat Ali Hospital is a charitable institution established in 1976 under the Act 1882 by Prof. Dr. S. M. K. Wasti and his colleagues, in memory of Chaudhry Rahmat Ali—the visionary behind the name “Pakistan.” Prof. Dr. Wasti, recognized as the “Father of Pediatrics,” founded the hospital to serve underserved communities in Lahore through healthcare, education, and religious instruction.

A Compassionate Mission

The hospital, founded in 1986, embodies the vision of delivering quality healthcare and modern education at subsidized or no cost, primarily to marginalized individuals in Township, Green Town, and adjacent areas. It currently operates with a 48-bed capacity and offers outpatient services, a 24/7 emergency department, diagnostic facilities, pharmacy services (including discounted and free medicines for the deserving), and specialized surgical and medical care.
