Professor Dr. S.M. K Wasti established the Ch. Rahmat Ali Memorial Trust in 1976.
Dr. S.M.K. Wasti (1912-1995), recipient of the Tamgha-e-Pakistan and considered the Father of Pediatrics in Pakistan, established the Chaudhry Rahmat Ali Memorial Trust in 1976. In addition to this dramatic achievement, Dr. Wasti was also the Founder of Ch. Rahmat Ali Memorial Trust Hospital is located in Lahore’s Township area.
Professor Wasti earned his MBBS degree from Punjab and held multiple other distinguished qualifications: FCPS, FRCP (Ireland), DCH (Ireland), DTM&H (London), and MPH (London). He served as a Professor Emeritus at King Edward Medical College in Lahore and was a founder member/fellow/professor emeritus of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Karachi, Pakistan.
